Why? Why? Why?

The question I was asked over and over again, why did I tackle this story? Simple answer, I sat and watched innocent kids, women and men have their lives, soul, hopes, dreams and hard sweat taken and sold to the highest bidder in a Louisiana court system. As a Social Studies educator for many years, I could not believe what I was witnessing and hearing. With the impression of young students that look up to you with respect and guidance, you are at the helm of helping the parent and community instill morals and values into the young world that is in front of them. Well, my gosh!! If what I was watching unfold in the legal system is Justice, then the system is a complete failure.

I sat for a few years and watched an honest, hard-working, Christian woman and mother be taken down like an animal being hunted and shot in a cage with nowhere to run for shelter. Yes, this happened in the United States of America, not some 3rd world nation. Following the updates of the story became more and more unbelievable. Yes, in a short order, this is why.

This woman married and supported her husband in his career. Only once did she leave him at the beginning of the marriage due to the onset of domestic abuse. At this time he was arrested for indecent exposure. According to him, he was exercising in the window, as a few ladies and kids watched. Truth be known, he was putting on a show for them of sexual gratification, alone. Cops were called, he was arrested. Guess who he calls? Yes, his wife. She goes to bail him out of jail with him only in shorts and barefeet; Claiming he was not putting on any sexual acts. To the best of my knowledge, I have never know this person to every do any exercise. Unless, of course, practicing adultery or lying is a new form of health and fitness program. Then he should be on the cover or a male fitness magazine with all the practice he had, he could be the model of the year.

The wife, (let’s call her Victoria) was the president of the home owners association. She went to meet the victims on the behalf of her husband and begged them to please drop the charges, explaining that he is very sorry for his behavior and it would never happen again. This would ruin his life and please give him a chance. The ladies did agree and charges dropped.

At this point, Victoria was suckered back in under Conrad’s social path spell. Victoria was ready to have kids and start a family, this is the target button he used. So within no time Victoria moves back in. They were once again a happy couple with a baby on the way. Both working hard and growing in their careers, life seemed to be going well.

Lots of life happens at this time like any other family. Then comes crazier to the mix. (Let’s call the husband Conrad). Baby # two comes along—it’s a BOY! Victoria is not well, she is in bed for months to keep the baby alive. Baby comes and is healthy.
With Victoria having two small children at home, she was working fulltime with a great job in an oil company. Loved her job, and doing well with her career.

Well, something is going wrong at this point. Conrad then starts putting pressure on her to stop working and stay home with the kids and run their business. With hesitation Victoria agrees. With kids in sports, private schools, and running a business is not easy task on anyone.

This is a point where things go really crazy. Conrad is working out of the city in Houston for an energy company downtown. At this time, for some reason he felt the need to get engaged to another woman. Yes, tells her he is single. This goes on for over 5 years. At the same time he has another affair with a co-worker at his office and has his wife and kids at home. Lying to two of the women for sure. Now, about the woman at his office in Houston, what do you call a woman that knows a man is married with kids and is having sex with him anyway helping him to destroy his wife? I will let you chose the word you think fits.

Let’s keep in mind, Conrad is traveling and enjoying life with his fiancé, while his wife is home running “their” company, carting kids off in different directions for sports and other events, maintaining a home and helping with Conrad’s parents; both of whom are ill. Yes, Conrad is touring plantation Bed and Breakfasts, fishing and enjoying life with his lovers, while Victoria is depending on help from her family and friends to make life work. Little does she know that Conrad is nothing more than a liar?

Oh, this Conrad, he must be the man!!! Well, not in so many eyes. To lie, deceive and plan to ruin is not a man that is a coward.

Not only is he a coward, but the people that helped Conrad with his web of lies and ruin are just as guilty. Wonder if they would want this to happen to their daughter, niece & nephew or grand kids. Just want them to ask themselves that. And they know exactly who they are.

A mother lost her home, money and child– all legally in the state of Louisiana.
Still trying to figure out why the law in the great state of Louisiana finds it perfectly ok for two whores to take a teenager away from a mother for no reason at all. Answer, easy: MONEY! Wear the woman down until she can’t afford anything then she will have to give up. I wonder if we went to Baton Rouge with buses to gather kids from elected lawmakers at the state capital how many would bring their impressionable teenage kids to bring to summer camp at a Nevada whore house? If they think it is good for this kid, why not their kid? And the parents would get the judges blessing as Victoria did, as the court rips the child from the mother, at Christmas, telling her she is doing the right thing. I wonder if his kids will be the first on the bus. Folks are elected to protect us and make laws that are fair and just. The only thing this mother missed was the firing squad, I am sure at times she felt like it would be ok to pull the trigger. What more can you take from me? You took it all.
